Madrid Nightlife Starts at 1 AM and Runs Until Dawn

Madrid is a late city by any measure. Malasaña is the indie-bar neighborhood — dense grid of small rooms with live music and counter-service drinks. Chueca is the LGBTQ+ and cocktail neighborhood, with clubs and bars running until 6 AM.

For the big-room club scene: Teatro Kapital is the seven-floor megaclub near Atocha; Fabrik in the industrial outskirts is the techno-and-EDM superclub. Sala Caracol and Joy Eslava (a converted theater) are the legacy rooms.

Spanish clubs open at midnight and don't fill until 2 AM. Close is 6 AM weekends, sometimes later. Metro reopens at 6 AM — plan the bed transition with that in mind.
